Our love presaged the end of time

Where I lost all that was mine

You used my money and my name

To play a losing game

How did I let a wedding ring

Blind me to everything?

I gave it all to you

Then what did you do?

Betrayed me and lost it all

Then blamed me for the fall

I realized then, you let me view

Only the best and smallest part of you

Like an iceberg in the sea

The truest truth hid from me

Your deceit left me no choice

But to sue you for divorce

Now our time is dead and gone

But I will pick up and move on
I will choose to only see
Gifts and hope in my new reality

Forget the past, accept the new
Because that is what survivors do
