Moonscape of My Dreams

Moonscape of My Dreams

My whole life is passing by
I watch it fly
Across the moonscape of my dreams
Their varied themes…

I look back and wonder
Why the thunder
Isn’t heard around the world…

All I’ve done will one day be gone
Leaving only salt as residue
From the tears that drew
Lines down my forgettable face
Just another one of the human race…

I found my answers here
My questions there
I found love that rocked my heart
And beauty everywhere…

I walk down by the water
As the nights grow hotter
As the days grow longer
Spirit grows stronger
And every stranger that I meet
Is a part of you
And a part of me
Yet I pass them by
And let time fly
Across the moonscape of my dreams
