Love on the Brain

He likes picking up broken things
Tinkering with them until they work again
Maybe that’s why he picked me
Those fissures only he could see

He says, “Precious girl let me love you
Let me melt you into water
Let me lift you into fire
Let’s get lost inside each other”

I dissolve in his pretty words
The sexiest I have ever heard
I know I should probably run
But his flirting is too much fun
His pretty words fall like rain
And now I've got love on the brain

He likes surprising me
By bicycling through soft rain showers
Gifting jellies instead of chocolate
Bringing balloons instead of flowers

I’m in trouble here, I care too much
Yet he phones me just to say goodnight
I know he could crush me and my heart
Still I hug the phone and smile in delight

He says, “Precious girl let me love you
Let me melt you into water
Let me lift you into fire
Let’s get lost inside each other”

I dissolve in his pretty words
The sexiest I have ever heard
I know I should probably run
But his flirting is too much fun
His pretty words fall like rain
And now I've got love on the brain
